FAQs
Typically yes. If you have existing vinyl or aluminum siding then it will need to be removed. If you have existing wood siding then we typically can use a fan fold insulation to create a flat surface and side over top of the existing siding.
There are usually two options. If your existing window is a new construction window then a j-channel can be installed around the window. If the existing window is a replacement, then installing lumber around the window and wrapping it with aluminum would be necessary. Also, the window wrap can be done on any window if a wider window trim is desired.
It is typically not required, but it does give the home a completely fresh new look. Also, making sure that your ventilation system is working properly is something that our estimators would be sure to discuss with you.
here are typically 3 different thicknesses and projection depths to a horizontal siding panel. There are also many other shaped siding panels such as shakes, scallops, board and batten, or insulated back panels with larger reveals.
Yes, it can. Some of the darker colors only come in the higher grade panels. Typically the darker colors are considered deluxe and have a higher cost to them.
Siding warranties do cover fading and do allow for a certain number of fading units that is measured in Hunter units.
The original purchaser is given a non-prorated lifetime warranty. If the warranty is transferred then the next homeowner will receive a prorated 50yr. warranty.
Painting vinyl or aluminum siding is not recommended.
There are insulated back vinyl siding options available. Also, using underlayments such as house wrap, or fan fold can add some R-value and air sealing to the exterior of your home.
