What Happens During a Roof Estimate and Inspection?

Before work can begin on any project we need to do a thorough inspection and roof estimate. We use the latest tools and technology to transform the way we find problems and create solutions for your home.

The Process:

First we schedule a visit to your home or business to assess your roofing needs.

We like to start with the attic. The attic inspection is the X-ray of the house. This shows us any places where water may be getting in or if there is any internal damage.

Next, we assess the outside. We start on the ground, with a visual inspection. Then we go up and get lots of pictures and information on the top of your roof, paying close attention to any spots where water can get in, like skylights, pipes, or your chimney.

We look at the flashing, gutters, the drip edge, and the trim. We also examine the roof to see how many layers of shingles are in place.

We take lots of pictures for reference. This means you can see problem spots for yourself, and we have a reference tool that we can use to effectively diagnose problems.

The Tech We Use for a Roof Estimate:

This is where it gets cool.

We use the latest tech to make sure we get high-resolution photos of even the most difficult to reach spots. You might see one of us climb up onto your roof with a go-pro strapped to his head. We even use satellite imaging to determine the footprint of your roof.

We calculate the pitch of your roof with a phone app that uses the force of gravity to exactly determine the angle. We use drones to fly up and survey large roofs or roofs with inaccessible areas.

When you go to the doctor, you might get an MRI or an X-ray. You’d expect the doctors to use the latest tech to assess your physical health. We use the latest in imaging techniques to make sure your home’s health is protected just as effectively.

Assessing the Roof Data:

Afterward, we don’t just immediately give you an estimate. We take everything we’ve learned back to the bat-cave to do a detailed assessment and roof estimate. We want to make sure we’re taking the time to assess the data, match materials, match your needs, and create an action plan that works.

Dropping off the Estimate:

At our follow up appointment, we sit down at the kitchen table with an iPad and talk.  We go through all the photos so you can see the problems that need to be addressed. We talk about materials, plans, and make sure you understand everything that is happening.

By taking all those photos and sharing them with our clients we can make sure that people know what’s happening. Our goal is to solve our client’s roofing problems for them in the way they need.

We are a company of people who care about our customers and want to do everything we can to help people. A good roof is the foundation of a good home and we know that.

Schedule an estimate now and we can use the latest tools combined with excellent customer service and knowledge of roofing to help you have a great roof over your head.
